Over 6 thousand monumental trees to be protected within the planned Turnica National Park

The WWF Polska Foundation and the Dziedzictwo Przyrodnicze [Natural Heritage] Foundation submitted more applications for labeling over 4 thousand trees as monuments in the Turnica National Park that is in its planning phase. Until the park is formally established, only turning those trees into monuments of nature may save age-old fir, beech, hornbeam, and sycamore that had not been planted by human hand.
